Aureon Prostate PxTM Predicting Prostate Cancer Recurrence

ثبت نشده
چکیده

Aureon Laboratories is applying its integrative Systems Pathology platform to develop predictive clinical tests for prostate cancer patients. The initial offering is Prostate Px™, a unique prognostic test designed to provide patients and their physicians with more information as they make decisions about treatment options. Prostate Px is able to stratify patients as high or low risk for disease recurrence. Disease recurrence is defined as one of two endpoints: (1) developing a PSA/biochemical recurrence post prostatectomy and (2) clinical failure (i.e. evidence of bone / soft tissue metastasis, progression through hormonal therapy) within a five year period after having a radical prostatectomy.

Association between prostate specific antigen change over time and prostate cancer recurrence risk: a joint model

Background: Prostate specific antigen (PSA) is an important biomarker to monitor patients after treated with radiation therapy (RT). The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between the PSA data and prostate cancer recurrence using the joint modeling. Methods: This historical cohort study was performed on 422 prostate cancer patients. Inclusion criteria included: patients with loc...

Elevated XPO6 expression as a potential prognostic biomarker for prostate cancer recurrence.

Recurrence of localized prostate cancer following treatment can lead to lethal metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. Although numerous studies aimed at developing biomarkers for predicting recurrence of localized prostate cancer are promising, they have not yet led to useful applications. Dysregulation of exportins (XPOs, nucleocytoplasmic transporters) associated with subcellular mi...

مقایسه "نسبت PSA به حجم بافت بینابینی" با "دانسیتهPSA" در پیشگویی سرطان پروستات

Introduction: Prostatic specific antigen (PSA) is an excellent tumor marker, but it is not specific for prostate cancer. We evaluated the accuracy of PSA adjusted for transition zone volume calculated by transrectal ultrasonography in predicting prostate cancer in men compared with PSA density. Material and Methods: PSA adjusted for transition zone volume was obtained from 100 patients who u...

Neoadjuvant chemotherapy in high-risk localized prostate cancer: a systematic review

Background: The rate of recurrence and mortality in high-risk prostate cancer remains high. On the other hand, the use of chemotherapy in metastatic prostate cancer has improved overall survival of patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy alone on increasing survival of patients with high risk localized prostate cancer Methods: This is a systematic...

Co-Occurring Gland Angularity in Localized Subgraphs: Predicting Biochemical Recurrence in Intermediate-Risk Prostate Cancer Patients

Quantitative histomorphometry (QH) refers to the application of advanced computational image analysis to reproducibly describe disease appearance on digitized histopathology images. QH thus could serve as an important complementary tool for pathologists in interrogating and interpreting cancer morphology and malignancy. In the US, annually, over 60,000 prostate cancer patients undergo radical p...
